Why are there so many availability problems?

How come other retailers can deliver what they promise but you can’t?

Why do you rely on China for your products? Why can’t you source locally instead?

At IKEA we want to create a better everyday life for the many, that means being affordable for the many. Designing, planning and producing high volumes are enablers for that. We have strong collaborations with our suppliers since decades and they are spread all over the world, some of them in China. We are now working intensively within our supply chain to solve this situation.

I placed an order in the store and when I received it at home there are items that are not available and I do not know when I will receive them, why does this happen?
