When choosing your hob, keep these things in mind:

1. How do you like to cook?

When choosing your hob, keep these things in mind: 

A portable hob is ideal for small kitchens or whenever you need an extra cooking zone.You can move it around easily or store it away in no time. Just place it wherever you need it and plug it in—simple as that.

If you press the child‑lock button for 4 seconds, the hob can’t be started or adjusted. To unlock it, press the child‑lock button again for 4 seconds. This feature also comes in handy when you’re cleaning the hob surface.

When you hit the pause function, all active zones pause instantly; press the button again and they return to the exact same temperature as before. Perfect for those mid‑recipe interruptions.

4. How do you measure the cut‑out width you need? 

The cut‑out width is the inside width of the space where your hob will sit. 

Measure from the left side to the right side of the cut‑out using a tape measure. Keep the tape tight. Now you know exactly how wide your space is.The top of a hob is always slightly wider than the cut‑out, because the edge rests on the worktop.

5. What’s the right connection for your hob?

For an induction hob, having the correct electrical connection is essential. Otherwise, it may not work as it should.

1‑phase plug: a standard household plug with a regular socket, supplying up to 3680 watts.

2‑phase plug: your fuse box has a dedicated cooker circuit (2 linked circuits with 1 lever), and your kitchen has a 5‑pin socket (Perilex connector).

3‑phase plug: your fuse box has a powerful cooker circuit (4 linked circuits with 1 lever) and your kitchen has a 5‑pin socket (Perilex connector).
