Expected moreBetiI was excited to purchase the HEMNES 3-drawer cabinet, expecting a beautifully finished piece for the price, but I’m extremely disappointed. While the design is undeniably attractive, the quality leaves much to be desired. The paint is very thin, not opaque at all, and gives the cabinet a cheap, unfinished look. It doesn’t feel durable and seems like it would stain or wear easily over time.I had anticipated a matte finish with a refined, polished appearance, but what I received fell far short of expectations. It’s especially frustrating because the cabinet is already assembled, making a return a huge hassle. For the cost, I expected far better craftsmanship....You can see the wood through the thin layer of paint 3
Not made out of solid wood anymorePauloUnfortunately Ikea replaced a couple of panel for fiberboard that used to be wood, what a shame. The whole point of Hemnes is that they are solid wood products, i feel scammed.2
