Do not purchase in combination with "Doors and Open Shelves" LayoutGizemWe used Besta planner to create a cabinet with the "Doors and Open Shelves" Layout. It turns out that the shelves are not compatible with these doors. After you install the door, and you put the shelf that is supposed to go on top of the door, there remains a huge gap. The gap is so big that I can fit my hand through it. That means the space created by the door is not enclosed properly. I cannot comprehend how this sort of design is enabled with the planner, when there is no opportunity to pair the door with slightly longer shelves for this use case. We will not be returning the product since we spent hours installing it. It is very disappointing to see this result after spending so much money and effort. I would have liked to have a warning that there was going to be a gap in the designer, given that this is very unusual.

We use these cupboard doors on our BESTA configuration with GISSEBACK handles. When drilling the holes for the handles I went from the inside to the outside and which resulted to the outside layer to pop out and crack. After I put the handle on the damage is not visible but I drilled the other 3 BJORKOVIKEN parts from the outside to the inside and the holes are clean. The instructions gave no directions or instructions on how to make a hole.
