Can I mount IKEA kitchen drawers behind a door or another drawer?

You can choose to create more space in your kitchen by placing extra hidden drawers behind a door or drawer front, so-called inner drawers.

An inner drawer is made up of a kitchen drawer with an UTRUSTA drawer front.

UTRUSTA drawer fronts are narrower than regular drawer fronts. For an inner drawer, the drawer runners are placed a little further back in the cabinet. Together with the narrower front, this ensures that the drawer falls within the cabinet frame.
