Why did the stock on the website not match the stock in the store?
IKEA naturally always strives to keep stock information up to date. Sometimes the computer stock may differ from the actual stock at the IKEA store.
In addition to the current stock, the stock information on our website also shows the expected availability of a product. This information refreshes every 45 minutes and can therefore change during the day. This can be for several reasons.
Perhaps there have been customers at the facility who had the item in question in their cart and had not yet paid for it. It may also be that we underestimated the popularity of the particular offer, which caused the item to sell out quickly.
