What is the IKEA policy on chemicals?
Our goal is as follows: to ensure that our products do not contain chemicals that can be harmful to people and the environment. We pride ourselves on often being ahead of the law when it comes to proactively removing harmful substances from our product range.
And by dividing chemicals into groups, we can eliminate harmful groups of chemicals from our range altogether.
For our baby and children's products, including toys, an even stricter policy applies, as children are in many cases more sensitive to certain substances and materials than adults. As a result, we are already preventing the use of a number of substances as they may not meet our standards.
