Why do the energy labels on appliances now show a lower score?
IKEA products are still as economical and qualitative as before, only the European energy labels have changed. This means that a device previously labeled A+++, can now be given the label D.
The labels on IKEA appliances now often indicate a different letter than you may be used to. This is due to a European change in energy labels that was introduced in March 2021.
This does not mean that the device has become less economical. It just means that the scale has been reclassified at European level and that it is classified in a different way.
