IKEA Korea recommends refined, soft velvet fabrics and glossy gold decorations to create a warm and inviting home

[Seoul–October 25] Home furnishing retailer IKEA Korea introduces 2018 winter home furnishing trend.

This coming winter, IKEA Korea expects that refined, soft velvet fabrics and glossy gold accessories can create a warm and inviting home. In particular, fabric with different shades of green, blue, and red will give the home a cozy yet elegant touch. By adding glossy gold decorations and lighting to the home, the entire ambiance will also become increasingly sophisticated.

Moreover, expressive botanical and tartan patterns are set to create a bold statement. The new botanical patterns are inspired by European fairy tales, and IKEA has uniquely interpreted them into their designs. By merely replacing the covers of sofas and cushions, the home can be renewed without making much effort.

IKEA also introduces the "2018 Winter Collection" to reflect this year's trend. The collection offers 106 items, ranging from home-furnishing accessories to textiles, lighting, gift boxes, gift wrappers, tree decorations, baking and cooking utensils, and tableware.

With yearend just around the corner, a variety of home furnishing products, such as tree decorations, tableware, textiles, and lighting, will easily lighten up the mood for home parties, which are all included in the Winter Collection. Low in price and with a wide range of choices, anyone can easily change the mood of their home for the winter season. Lighting in unique shapes, such as a squirrel, snowflake, rabbit, and pine cone, will also create a delicate, inviting ambiance around windows, walls, and tables at home.
