IKEA Korea is giving back through donations and special offers for 5th anniversary celebration

IKEA Gwangmyeong opened as the first IKEA store in Korea in December 18, 2014, introducing the concept of home furnishing to the Korean market under the IKEA vision “to create a better everyday life for the many people.” Over the past five years, IKEA Korea has been committed to offering a wide range of well-designed, functional range of home furnishing products at affordable prices, with aims to enable the many Koreans to live a happier life at home, while stimulating the overall interest in home furnishing.
IKEA Korea will be presenting special offers to celebrate this special anniversary with its customers; with a purchase of KRW 150,000 or more made at IKEA Gwangmyeong and Goyang from November 26 to December 9, customers will receive a KRW 15,000 gift card. During this time, a special combo of meatballs and coconut ball at the IKEA restaurant will also be offered at a price of KRW 5,000. E-commerce customers will receive a KRW 10,000 discount on a purchase of KRW 200,000 or more.
In addition, IKEA Korea will make a series of charitable donations to give back to the local community for their past five years of love and support. IKEA Korea will donate 500 soft toys to children in five hospitals within the Seoul and Gyeonggi area. Also 500 meal vouchers to be used at IKEA Gwangmyeong will be shared with the Gwangmyeong City Senior Welfare Centre.
IKEA Korea opened IKEA Gwangmyeong in 2014 and its second store IKEA Goyang in 2017, followed by IKEA Korea e-commerce launch in 2018. With the upcoming opening of IKEA Giheung in December this year and IKEA DongBusan 1Q 2020, IKEA Korea is continuing its efforts to provide a better shopping experience and to expand its touchpoints as a leading multi-channel retailer in home furnishing.
