IKEA Korea holds a discount event celebrating Midsommar, a Swedish holiday

Midsommar, which is June 24(Sat) this year, means the longest day of the year in Sweden. Since it has its origins in ancient traditions to bless the land and pray for good harvest, it has become one of the most popular summer festivals in Sweden. Especially on the Midsommar eve, Swedish people celebrate the beginning of Swedish summer by wearing wreaths made with wildflowers and gathering around a pole decorated with greenery and flowers to dance along to the music. They also enjoy traditional food including herring, boiled potatoes with dill, sour cream, chives and Snaps with their families and friends.
IKEA Korea will offer a big discount event at the IKEA Gwangmyeong store from June 22 to July 31 to celebrate the Midsommar festival with Korean consumers. A variety of products including home furnishing items, drawers and beddings will be sold at up to 70% discounted price. Especially a coffee table from the IKEA PS 2017 series which support lifestyle of the fiercely independent and the free-thinkers will be offered at KRW 29,900. LERBERG series, which are easy to assemble, is priced between KRW 7,900 and KRW 17,900. Consumers can also purchase mattresses in various sizes and materials with comfort from KRW 199,000.
