IKEA Korea launches an Interior Design Service to provide tailor-made solutions

- Providing a low price Interior Design Service based on home furnishing expertise
[Seoul – January 2] Home furnishing retailer IKEA Korea is launching an Interior Design Service in all stores and remote channels where visual customer support is possible in order to help the many people realize their dream spaces at low prices.
The IKEA Interior Design Service provides tailor-made interior solutions not only for homes but also for small business spaces such as offices, cafes, and restaurants. Based on one-on-one consultations, IKEA Interior Designers suggest product combinations and arrangements suitable for each space, giving tips on furniture and home accessories, floor layouts, and space styling through the use of 3D drawings.
The service is divided into the ‘Interior design service’ for living spaces and the ‘Business interior design service’ for business spaces. Each of these services includes the ’Basic’ package for customers who want to decorate their space with only furniture and home accessories and the ’Plus’ package for customers who want an integrated interior design solution that includes finishing materials. This allows customers to select their desired service range and realize their dream spaces at a more affordable price. Interior Design Service Basic and Plus packages are offered at KRW 60,000 and KRW 120,000 per space, respectively. The Business Interior Design Service Basic and Plus packages are offered at KRW 20,000 and KRW 40,000 per square meter, respectively.
The Interior Design Service is provided at all IKEA Korea stores (Gwangmyeong, Goyang, Giheung, DongBusan) and can be accessed after making a reservation at the official IKEA Korea online mall or the IKEA for Business sections located in each IKEA store. All services are also provided through IKEA’s remote service ‘Hej Order,’ with the exception of the Business Interior Design Service Plus package. Customers can access the service conveniently anytime, anywhere through the screen-sharing function on PCs and smartphones.
IKEA Korea will hold a special event celebrating the launch of the Interior Design Service from January 2 to March 5. During the event period, customers who use the Interior Design Service Basic or Plus for two or more spaces can receive a free consultation for one additional space. In addition, the first ten customers who use the service in stores or through ‘Hej Order’ will have the option of having an IKEA Interior Designer visit the space in person and provide a final inspection service. Lastly, customers visiting stores for consultations will be gifted with a meatball coupon that can be used at IKEA restaurants.
“We hope that many more people can decorate tailormade spaces that reflect their individuality through IKEA’s Interior Design Service, which offers great expertise in a variety of spaces,” stated an official from IKEA Korea. “We will continue to strengthen our omnichannel solutions with convenient services that encompass both online and offline channels, helping the many people create their dream spaces.”
