UselessAnonymous reviewerI have bought three of these and they are in different parts of the house. They all worked well in the first week but now all three are reported as "unavailable", i.e. they can't reach the hub. I'll try and set them up again but all three failing is not a good sign.
Good quality, good price, works wellAnonymous reviewerI use this with the IoT Portal Hub to get SMS messages when there is a leak. It works perfectly. Press the pair button 4 times with normal ZigBee 3 hubs like this.
Our office roof leaked with the heavy rain a few weeks ago and I got the SMS. I told the guy downstairs about it to move his stock. Paid for itself already!
You can hardly hear the soundAnonymous reviewerWhen I purchased this product, I couldn't find the sound output specification (dBm) on the website, which was disappointing. Upon testing, I found the volume to be surprisingly low. After scanning the barcode for the documentation, I discovered that the output is only 7.3 dBm, which is quite inadequate.
I intended to install it in a cabinet where all the pipes are interconnected, but with the cabinet door closed, the sound is barely audible when activated. While I don’t expect a siren to be excessively loud, it's concerning that it’s difficult to hear even with a radio on. This experience has made me hesitant to consider similar sensors in the future.
Works with Z2M perfectlyAnonymous reviewerAnother amazing smart home product from the great team at Ikea, this is Zigbee compatible and works with Zigbee2MQTT with my SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB adapter, so I can use it in Home Assistant!
---
It's very simple in design, has two prongs on the bottom that trigger the sensor "ON" when they're bridged and make a complete circuit (the water completes the circuit).
---
It also has a built in speaker so emits a beep when there's contact on the sensor (speaker cannot be controlled from Z2M).
---
It alerts immediately when the circuit is complete, no delay - Also when you dry it off or break the circuit, the alert stops immediately (along with the beeping).
---
Much cheaper than alternatives on Amazon, no need to overspend on something so simple.

Please keep up the great work Ikea.
Nice little unit. Works well.Anonymous reviewerIt’s nice to be able to hear when there is a leak.
Not support TRÅDFRI gateway Anonymous reviewerDon’t know why Not support TRÅDFRI gateway, very disappointed.
Good designAnonymous reviewerThe IKEA water leakage sensor is a game-changer for home protection. Its compact design seamlessly blends into any room while providing peace of mind against unexpected leaks. What sets it apart is its compatibility with AAA batteries, making it more convenient and budget-friendly. Plus, its seamless integration with HomeKit ensures easy monitoring and control right from your smartphone. With reliable performance and user-friendly features, this sensor is a must-have for any smart home.
Very IntermittentAnonymous reviewerConnected to SmartThings but it constantly connects and discionnects and when it alarms it rarely triggers an alert on SmartThings. IKEA really need to get their sensors working with Matter so they can connect to any smart home. Maybe I would not have the issues with an Ikea hub but people do not want loads of hubs (I already have 3 different hubs) and I thought Matter would (it should) fix these issues
