Cute TempsAnonymous reviewerI bought a few of these for around the house. These can be used as triggers in HA or just temp monitors. They are super cool ;) and just work.5
Don’t waste your time and moneyAnonymous reviewerDon’t waste your time and money connected straight away at first, couple of hours later disconnect then have tried to reconnect multiple times throughout the day doing soft and hard resets only to fail connect message to appear a split second after scanning, just proves sometimes going cheap and cheerful isn’t always better maybe ikea should focus on furniture and not tech.
Only giving 1star only because zero stars isn’t an option 1
Stylish, reliable and work great with Home AssistantAnonymous reviewerNot much more to say really. I’ve got 9 of these paired to my USB Thread dongle in Home Assistant and these display and feed back information perfectly. 5
Excellent temperature sensorAnonymous reviewerAn uneatable sensor for the price. Paired straight away through home assistant with my ZBT-2 and it seems to be inline with my other sensors. My only complaint is that I'd like to be able to control the display via software, but the only way is to press the device and it will cycle through temperature and humidity. It would also be nice if there was the option to plug it in to negate the need for batteries and have it act as a router.4
Good and cheapAnonymous reviewerSeem to be accurate and handy to keep an eye on what rooms need ventilating or a bit of extra heat. Will get some more to have one in each room, just a shame they can't be delivered without placing a large order.5
Poor accuracyAnonymous reviewerAnother report of terrible accuracy for the humidity. It's a good 5% out compared to other sensors I have. I don't expect such a cheap device to be perfect but this is too far in the wrong direction. Temperature on the other hand is spot on. If there was a way to calibrate it, that would be better.2
Excellent sensor for the priceAnonymous reviewerI have previously used Sonoff SNZB02-P Zigbee sensors but I have been experimenting with Thread and these devices have been reliable.
The values match other sensors but update far more often and the display (which comes on when you press it) combined with AAA batteries means I will be replacing the Sonoff sensors with these over time.5
Loose connection repeatidlyAnonymous reviewerPoor instructions, loose connectivity from the IKEA hub, can see there is a firmware upgrade but unable to download.... Why did you move away from Zigbee??
Please share information on what is possible with these devices, and importantly how to use and connect these devices.1
Multiple Sensors No Serial NumbersAnonymous reviewerThese are the only Matter/Thread devices I’ve bought that do not have serial numbers so diagnosing problems on a network is nigh on impossible when using multiple units. Not sure if this is intentional or a production oversight. Have had issues with drop outs and have had to remove and replace the batteries to find them again.
Another small point is that they are designed to be mounted on a wall with a screw but the mounting holes are too small to be used with any IKEA screws they stock. 4
Timmerflotte sensorAnonymous reviewerSeems to work well, would be nice if the display was always on but it's still good5
Easy to useAnonymous reviewerEasy to use as standalone sensors, pop in the batteries and place where you want.
A simple press of the top shows the temperature followed by the humidity.5
Looks clean - drops out sometimesAnonymous reviewerThe device looks good and provides accurate data. HomeKit will give you the temperature and humidity within 0.5. However I find the humidity to show higher than my other humidity sensors. When I see 60% on this I get 55% on my non smart temperature and humidity sensor. 4
Struggling to pairAnonymous reviewerBought 5 of them. Only 1 connected after numerous attempts to via the Dirigera and HA Connect ZBT-2 to Home Asisstant / Apple Home / Ikea Home Smart. Have to return all as I guess it is buggy firmware.1
Good Matter & Thread Implementation; Poor Humidity AccuracyAnonymous reviewerI'm pleased to see IKEA embracing the Matter and Thread standards and encouraging the use of rechargeable AAA batteries. These work great with Home Assistant and a third-party Open Thread Border Router. There are some nice features - like the countdown on the display when doing a factory reset - but the weak point is the accuracy of the humidity readings. One sensor is showing 91% and another, 1 metre away, is showing 79%. That's not unusual for humidity sensors at this price point though.4
Not accurate enoughAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately not accurate compared to other devices. Temperature is fairly accurate to 0.5c but humidity reads about 5-7% over.2
Works well with Apple HomeAnonymous reviewerDelighted by these. I’ve wanted per-room temperature and humidity sensing for years, but most options were expensive or required yet another proprietary hub.
These use Matter, so they work across major smart-home platforms (Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa) using a single shared standard — no ecosystem lock-in.
They communicate using Thread, a modern, low-power wireless technology. Because Thread is separate from Wi-Fi, you’ll need a Thread Border Router to bridge the two. IKEA’s DIRIGERA hub does this, but you may already have one (for example via compatible Apple TVs, HomePods, or equivalents), meaning these can work straight out of the box.
Setup in Apple Home was as simple as scanning the QR code.
One small improvement: IKEA’s product page mentions Matter but not Thread, which could cause confusion.5
Temperature and Humidity Smart Sensor Anonymous reviewerEasy installation, pop in the batteries, open the Apple Home App, add item and it’s found quickly, firmware updated and it’s working even though it’s not actually listed in the IKEA app yet. 5
