Reviews

RemoteAnonymous reviewerDoes not work so I use the plug to turn lights on and off3
Horrible to connectAnonymous reviewerI miss the old version. This one is so difficult to connect, took me 30min of rebooting, and navigating the internet (as the instructions are actually useless). In the end I managed to get it connected, awful device. Actually awful. You also need tow batteries instead of one.1
UselessAnonymous reviewerTried Paired with eero 7 Max ,google hub, and samsung smarthings all via matter over thread same results works the day you pair it, come the next day stops working but hey it was £3 and i brought on a gamble so is what it is. Probably works best with there own hub much like other smart home tech1
Remote controlAnonymous reviewerWorks well with the smart lamps5
Incredible good value.Anonymous reviewerConnects quickly and simple with Google home through matter, can easily be attached to wall with the included adhesive and works decently quickly. It can be taken off the magnet and used elsewhere. I'm only upset that I didn't buy more!5
Unreliable. Continentally disconnects.Anonymous reviewerI should have known it was too good to be true. The device (once you figure out how to set it up) works great for all of two minutes. Then it disconnects forever. What a waste of energy and money.1
Good luck on your purchaseAnonymous reviewerThe first one I bought was faulty - the dimmer was not responsive, and I had to visit the store on the other day to get another one. Also, as I was purchasing it for my Jetstrom light panel, it looks like the pairing method stated in the instructions of Jetstrom is for the older remote control, not this newer one. I hope IKEA can update the guidelines at least on the website.3
Works well … eventuallyAnonymous reviewerDreadful lack of instructions how to pair this with the driver - it took two of us half an hour to figure it out, as there was nothing in all the paperwork or online operation documents. However, once we got it running it is a neat and simple device.4
Waste of timeAnonymous reviewerIf I could leave zero stars, I would. I was genuinely excited to purchase this product after hearing glowing reviews online and from friends. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but disappointing. The remote control is frustratingly unreliable and extremely difficult to pair. It is far from user-friendly, and the setup process feels unnecessarily complicated. What made matters worse was feeling pushed towards purchasing an additional smart hub just to achieve basic functionality. The instructions are equally poor. They are vague, difficult to follow, and repeatedly direct you to scan QR codes that simply lead back to the same information online, creating an endless loop with no real guidance. In the end, I had to rely on YouTube tutorials to get anywhere. To top it off, the bulb range is not clearly labelled, making it easy to purchase the wrong product. Overall, a frustrating and misleading experience. I will be returning it and purchasing elsewhere.1
Excellent product.Anonymous reviewerDoes the job perfect5
Utterly useless - complete waste of moneyAnonymous reviewerI know it's only £3 but it should still work, right? I tried numerous times to connect to my Thread network (Google TV Streamer) and it kept failing. When it finally managed connect all that was available was a single switch functionality. What happened to the second button? What happened to the dimming function? I assumed something must have gone wrong when pairing, so I removed the device from Home and attempted to pair it again. Again it failed several times. I persevered, I wish I had given up earlier. I ended up with three devices connected to my home but all were offline. I deleted one, they all disappeared. Oh, ok, I'll try again... 🤦‍♂️ Now I can consistently connect the device but every time I do the devices show up and they're all offline. No automations work with these offline devices, nothing I do can possibly resurrect them. Someone said I'd have better luck with the Drigera Hub - lol like I'm going to gamble with £70 only to discover it's still useless!1
Dosent work Anonymous reviewerI brought two within the last month and they die quickly when working and when there not working the light show but very dim even when I replace the battery’s. It never connect with the app even tho I have a hub. Absolutely a waste 1
BasicAnonymous reviewerA bit basic but it works3
AwfulAnonymous reviewerFirstly this is small and fiddly. Nowhere near as substantial as the old one and and an awful design. And cheaply made with a sticker to fit it on the wall or cupboard. Not doing that on a New Kitchen. You can evidently use it with some modern app but that was really unclear. Indeed there was nothing in the instructions at all. I had an experienced Kitchen Fitter who I have to say has worked for IKEA and he had no idea how to get this to work with the lighting. Indeed three of us tried. He had to get in contact with someone in another country and we finally got some answers. There is another version of this with a fade wheel touch sensor and this we also tried and failed. Anyway he spent ages of his time dealing with this and mine for that matter.1
We have bought 2 now and niether work.Anonymous reviewerWe have just had our kitchen fitted and the original remote would not sink in to the light system so we bought another remote and again it doesn't sink in....It just keeps flashing amber on the controller, even the kitchen fitter couldn't get it to work.1
Using with AppleHomeAnonymous reviewerWorking so far. To set up in Home app ‘Add Accessory’, then scan the QR code or enter 11 digits found on front of the little ikea booklet4
No way near as good as the old style shortcut buttonsAnonymous reviewerWe have three of the old style shortcut remotes which all work great - no issues. Have had one of these for a week and it's already disconnected three times, and every time it goes offline, the only option seems to be to remove it from your system entirely and add it again. It also takes a few attempts to add every time too. Extremely frustrating. 1
Don't buyAnonymous reviewerStraight forward enough to pair but then stopped working. Intermittently powers off and on. Bought one last month and exactly the same issue, returned for a replacement. The replacement is just as bad.1
Great 'WHEN' it worksAnonymous reviewerHave this set up to turn on the 'Ring' garden lights through Alexa... 7 out of 10 times it will work, then for no reason, the device is no longer seen in the Amazon app, and I have to go through the whole set-up process again ...they say you get what you pay for, and I guess thats true with this product, have lost faith in it and wouldn't purchase again.2
Make sure your ipv6 is setup correctlyAnonymous reviewerMake sure your ipv6 is setup correctly before using matter devices.5
