Nice concept but execution will never have smooth travel over jointsChrisI like these "hospital" style curtain tracks -- it makes for a very neat look. However, the joints where multiple sections are connected will NEVER run smoothly. Even if you have the straightest line, the slight variations in ceiling "flatness" over 1.4 + 1.4m will cause the ends to be 1-2mm (or more) out of plane, causing a disjunction where the carriers will not run smoothly. If IKEA spent another cent to make the plastic connector solid, instead of a flimsy flat piece, it would likely hold them in plane; I ended up adding 1-3 washers to the ceiling mounts to get the tracks lined up and running (mostly) smoothly. I might buy them again, or recommend, but only with the caveat that you will have to level them because ceilings are never mirror-flat.3
