Received broken itemEamonnI purchased the item in December 2025. It was stored unopened in a dry location until the good weather started 5 months later. Upon unboxing and building, I noticed established rust, bent metal, missing screws/keys and the support string hanging loose, having seemingly snapped in two. I tried to return the item but was told that it was not possible due to 'improper storage and care'. I suspect that the item was broken by someone else and was returned, then sent back out to me not having been properly inspected. Like some other reviews, the support string appears to have been the point of failure. I do not accept that the damage present when I opened the item was caused by improper storage. My advice would be not to purchase - the support mechanism appears faulty and IKEA do not seem to acknowledge this.
