Life at Home Report

What "home" means to us has really changed over time, adapting to new realities and lifestyles. We've gone from home being a shelter during the pandemic to it opening up to social occasions again. This new community space invites us to spend time with loved ones, welcome guests, and organise dinner parties and games nights, so friends and family stay over.

The living room has come to be the heart of the house, a space for relaxing and socialising. This multifunctional space is designed to move with your lifestyle, from leisure activities and relaxing to working from home, and it's where:

  • The television has stopped being the focus of the room, with trends leaning towards hiding the screen.
  • The sofa takes centre stage in the room.

Bedroom trends

With bedrooms, size is now less of a priority, with the main focus on it being a relaxing space. Bedrooms are getting smaller and smaller, but they are designed to maximise comfort and functionality.

  • The bedroom has become an intimate and relaxing space for switching off from everything. Mattresses are key to ensuring a good night's sleep.
  • Home automation is becoming increasingly more popular.
  • It is the room most closely linked to mental health. Having an en-suite is a rising trend, as both spaces are associated with self-care.

Bathroom trends

Bathrooms have moved towards a trend of self-care. The bathroom has transformed into the house's spa, where personal hygiene meets relaxation time.

·  When it comes to your skincare routine, it's all about the mirror. All kinds of storage are welcome for keeping products organised but still to hand.

·  It also highlights the connection to nature. Using natural plants, when the bathroom has natural light, or natural materials, like stone and wood, is becoming increasingly more popular.

Workspace trends

For workspaces, you want to strike the right balance between work and pleasure, with office furniture that can become cosier and less corporate.

·  Inspiring pieces are key in these spaces. Technology is tucked away to keep a tidy environment, by hiding routers, cables and extension leads with clever solutions.

·  What's more, spaces are created for recording podcasts, Instagram lives or Tik Tok live streams.
