Curvy and pastels

This style is a contemporary trend that is characterised by its curvy lines, fluid forms and pastel colour palette. It has a soft, feminine, fresh and attractive feel, blending retro influences ('70s and '80s) with Scandinavian style and modern pop, all while maintaining a hint boldness.

The soft, light pastel colours (like pale pink, peach, lavender, sky blue, mint green and butter yellow) can be paired up with touches of white, cream or even vibrant colours like yellow, blue or light red to create bold contrasts. The textures are soft, like you will see a lot of velvet, bouclé wool, cotton and fluffy textiles, while padded upholstery, fluffy rugs and round cushions are also typical.

The furniture has rounded edges, highlighting the curvy sofas and coffee tables without sharp corners. The mirrors don't have a defined shape, breaking away from the typical parallel lines we see in mirrors, while the lamps have fluid or abstract designs. It's inspired by nature – the shapes often resemble stones, drops of water or waves.

For furniture, it's typical to see pieces that look like art, such as chairs shaped like petals, or lamps shaped like clouds or water drops.
