Decorating with flowers and plants is a truly enriching hobby, as they not only make your house beautiful but they are also a relaxing activity and they purify the air in the house. The power of plants is amazing. So, with the arrival of the good weather, we want to help you bring a little bit of nature into your home with a few small touches. Don't worry about anything! The ideas we're going to show you are extremely simple, perfect for an easy, fun and affordable activity!

Shall we get started?

1. Bring windows to life

One of the easiest but no less attractive ideas is to decorate the windows with plants.

To do this, create an eye-catching combination of vines and seasonal flowers, whichever you like best. If you want to create a truly original display, use the full height of the window to create a natural frame. You can also take advantage of the ledge to add other elements to accompany it, such as some additional plants or glass vases.

If you don't have a large ledge to use, you can always place a small table right in front of the window and decorate it with different vases. In this case, we've placed a variety of coloured glass vases so that the light shines through them.

Careful! If the window receives direct sunlight, make sure that you use hardy plants to prevent them from burning from overexposure.

2. Frame flowers

If you don't have a large window, you may be more interested in decorating your walls with flowers. It's a very simple option that will give the room a natural, spring-like ambience.

Immortalise the beauty of your favourite flowers and leaves in photo frames. How? Very simple: press petals or natural flowers between two glass panels to create the composition you like best. Make sure that they are free of bugs or residual soil. Choose the most suitable frame for your decor and enjoy a lasting and beautiful memory.

If you want to decorate in a colourful and natural way, put some natural flower buds in a mini display case. You'll see them change colour as they dry.

3. Create a vintage lamp

This idea can be perfect for adding a touch of style to a spring table. If you have an old ceiling lamp, you have a great opportunity to revamp it by decorating it with plants.

We suggest that you remove the shade and put your favourite plants and flowers around it. Be careful not to overload it and make sure that the plants don't burn when the lamp is on.

4. Decorate with different vases and pots

As we already mentioned in the first idea, decorating with plants in vases, plant pots or planters is an art in itself. With a simple touch, the look can be totally different.

In this case, we've opted for a varied arrangement of pots. We've used all the available space on the top of the cabinet and created a special place to display our little natural corner. What do you think of the combination of white, metal and natural materials?

Don't be afraid to give your plants the prominence they deserve! Collect several different pots and create a dynamic arrangement. It is really inexpensive and the result is spectacular! Tip: choose plants of similar colours to make the pots the centre of attention.

5. Keep it simple

On many occasions, the subtlest of options can be enough to decorate a space that we want to liven up. It's the same with plants, for example. In this last idea, we leave you with some examples of all the potential that a vase with a single flower has.

In the first image, we've combined a pair of vases with a freshly picked flower for each. When placed on tables or sideboards, they become the perfect decorative touch.

This technique can be used in different ways, by grouping together different vases or, for example, using one on its own like in this last photo.

What did you think? Get inspired by these affordable ideas and decorate with plants and vases to welcome in spring. If you liked it, we're sure that you'll find this selection interesting too. Don't miss out!
