IKEA collects the following information in accordance with IKEA Family Terms of Use to manage your IKEA Family account:
- Legal Last Name

This allows IKEA to:
Manage your registration with the IKEA FAMILY loyalty programme
Send you your IKEA Family card (via email or text message)
Provide you with the many benefits of joining the programme (coupons, special offers, promotions and warranties)
Communicate with members who register for events regarding their participation (e.g. confirming registration, reminders, cancellations, etc.)
Remember that the data you provide us should be sufficient and relevant. In the event that you provide us with information that is false, incomplete, inaccurate or out of date, the user is responsible for any consequent harm caused, with IKEA reserving the right to terminate the services contracted by the customer or any other contract entered into. This is without prejudice to any other actions that may arise in law.
In addition, based on legitimate interest and in order to communicate with you as a member of the IKEA Family in an efficient and engaging way, IKEA also collects the following data:

- Gender

4. Which third parties do we share your data with?
IKEA shares data with various companies that provide services to IKEA, which need access to data to correctly manage the IKEA Family Loyalty Club and with which we sign contracts containing the necessary safeguards for data protection. These include the following: the company that provides advertising through different channels, companies from different sectors that help us analyse IKEA Family Club customers, and IKEA Group companies (located in the European Union) so as to correctly manage the Family Loyalty Club database. In order to provide a better service, your personal data may be transferred within and outside the European Union for the following purposes: for sending commercial information through a supplier under Binding Corporate Rules (BCR), and if you review a product (Rating and Reviews) under the Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long do we store your personal data for?
IKEA will retain your data for as long as necessary to comply with any legal obligations arising from the processing of such data in accordance with IKEA data retention policies. If you do not actively use or stop using your IKEA Family account, we will delete the account five years after we notice this lack of activity.
The information we keep about you can be checked and collated within our databases. This allows us to guarantee that it is managed correctly and to process the data for the purposes indicated above.

We store the data for at least five years.
