How can I control my smart home?

You can control your smart products by remote control or via the App as long as your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Both the DIRIGERA hub and the TRÅDFRI connection device must be connected to your Wi-Fi router but do not really need an internet connection. 

For example, thanks to the remote control, your guests will also be able to use your smart home products, even when the internet connection is down.

With the DIRIGERA hub, you can control your home and add new products without a remote control, simply by using the App.

The IKEA Home smart App connects to the DIRIGERA hub and your smart products using the same Wi-Fi. In addition, you can create different scenes where you can choose which smart product to turn on or off at any given time. It's a great way to schedule when you want the lights to come on just before you get home at night, or set a timer for the blinds to come down at midday to block out the sunlight.
