Why is the BESTÅ shelf shorter than the unit and leaves a gap?
There is always a gap of around 2 cm, which can be at the front or at the back depending on how you install it.
The BESTÅ shelf is slightly shorter to fit inside the frame. There is a gap of around 2 cm, which can be at the front or at the back depending on how you install it. If you are going to place a drawer or a door below, the gap must be at the back, using the special supports included in the hinge package.
