Excellent storage !lomi7Have had this for nearly 5 years in our guest room. We open/close it more than we'd anticipated, and it's surprisingly easy to open! Tons of storage space - a 'paper box' which holds reams of copy paper fits easily. If you live small, you need this. Gonna take some time to assemble, but worth it. (we also have a much more expensive upholstered storage bed, and the IKEA one holds more and is easier to access)5
Incorrect piecesMonica22369I bought this bed and we started building it, it was going great no problems. Then, we were halfway done when we realized we were given the wrong piece in the box. The piece didn’t fit. We went to Ikea to get a different and correct piece and they told me they didn’t have it. They told me I had to wait until early September (it’s August 15) to get a piece. Meaning I have to wait 3 weeks!!! I have already taken apart my other bed frame and we were working on this bed frame for more than 3 hours only to find out it’s impossible to finish it. It is infuriating. I now have a half completed bed frame that cannot be completed and a bed frame that has been taken apart. I am angry1
Everything seems fine so farDPNSRead with trepidation some of the complaints but so far so good. Wasn't too hard to put together but it was in a guest room so we just spread it out over a few days. The storage underneath is ample - we are putting items like suitcases under that will only require getting out once or twice a year so we don't stress the opening mechanism. Hopefully things will work out fine.5
Hard to put togetherannak99Looks great, we have paired with Kullen dresser and Malm 2-drawers for night stands. But took hubby and I FOREVER to put together, very heavy and bulky. Needs 2 people to do it for sure. But storage space is great, adds nice support to mattress better than our box spring ever did. Worth buying if you're handy at putting this stuff together5

Very noisy / Defective LatchAmanda JWe bought this bed hoping to address a lack of storage in our master bedroom. I will say, you can store a lot underneath, but need to be careful of the positioning due to the cross braces and hydraulic brackets.The bed is SO loud to move on. Getting comfortable in the evening wakes my partner every time because he goes to bed before me. No matter what you do, it squeaks and squawks. The past couple of months it's also impossible to open the latch. So instead of storage, we now have a hostage situation on our hands. First it would catch and not open without lifting the mattress, now it won't open at all, mattress or no mattress. Now we have to disassemble it to rescue our summer clothes and extra sheets.1
Great solid bed frameMikeMooreWe’ve had this bed for a few years, and it survived being disassembled and reassembled for one move. It’s still solid as ever. Unlike one of the other reviews, we haven’t noticed any noise although we have a memory foam mattress on it so maybe that’s why? Anyhow, incredibly convenient to have all that added storage space, and the function of the lifting frame still very slick.5

Great storagePhoenixTOI have had this unit for about 4 months. I had TaskRabbit put it together for me. It provides a great storage solution for my small apartment that has few closets. I bought three of the larger Skubb boxes (that would normally fit under a bed) and use them to store linens etc. They fit in there nicely. The rep at the store showed me how to work the mechanism when I was shopping around. Pull the cloth tab out (away from bed) and pull up on the metal holder. Just be sure not to have anything loose (or pets) on bed, as when the spring catches, it goes up pretty fast. I don't count this as a negative as the spring is needed to lift mattress etc. Very happy with this product.5

The frame is extremely sturdy, and when I turn over in bed, the frame makes zero sound. Zero. I paired it with the Matrand mattress and it’s perfect for me. The under bed storage is super easy to access and you can fit a ton of stuff!5
Perfect storageHarleypqJust put this together and it's perfect...so far. People comment it's hard to put together and we never found that at all. Instructions were detailed and logical. We unpacked the boxes in the garage and carried in the main components first and assembled them and worked from there. Took less than 3 hours... with mainly just one persone assembling ....that's with carrying the pieces in. The storage underneath is huge! I fit all our quilts; duvets; duvet covers; sheets sets and pillows underneath with space to spare! It's solid. ..clean looking....sturdy. Perhaps in a few months I'll change my mind..but so far it meets my expectations.5
