Product details

Before using your proofing basket for the first time, it should be treated as follows: Moisten the proofing basket with water. Sprinkle flour over the basket. Tip and gently shake out excess flour and allow the proofing basket to dry.

Place the dough in the proofing basket and cover it with the included cloth. Once the dough has risen, place the bread on a baking tray and put it in the oven.

Dust the proofing basket with flour before each use, make sure the flour covers all surfaces and gets in all grooves. Tip and gently shake out excess flour.

The first times you use the proofing basket, you may need to use extra flour to prevent the dough from sticking. It can take up to three uses before the proofing basket works optimally.

A cotton/linen blend which combines the softness of cotton with the subtle sheen and firmness of linen.

Great basket, great priceBaking L.It worked like it was supposed to after I followed the directions for the first batch. The second stuck a little. I wonder if repeating the spray and flour would work. I store it in a clean linen pillow case as the flour dies fall through the cracks.4

Material

What is rattan?

Rattan is a climbing plant belonging to the palm tree family. It grows as a vine on tree trunks, its fast-growing tendrils easily reaching 60, and sometimes more than 300, feet long. They can be harvested without harming the host trees and grow back quickly once harvested. We use this lightweight, flexible and durable material in products like armchairs, rocking chairs, side tables, outdoor furniture and for handmade baskets.
