Upcycling Bedroom Vanity with new Desk Anonymous reviewerI created a new Bedroom Vanity by upcycling the mirror and glass cover from my IKEA vanity to my new IKEA rattan desk. I painted the mirror frame, 2 drawers and chair. I recovered the chair cushion with a pillow fabric. I purchased the IKEA rattan storage unit on casters.
Beautiful, cozy, and lightweightXjBeing south-east asian, this desk helped bring a warm touch of home into my space. The raised rattan enclosure of the desk makes me feel enveloped and cozy. It's also very lightweight and easy to move around. I dig the eucalyptus veneer and hope Ikea uses it in more products. My only wish is that the tabletop was solid wood as well, as it came with a very small chip on the side (not super noticeable). That said, the craftsmanship is impressive and well worth the price point considering the amount of woven rattan.
