Very comfortable, love itJinWhen you seat in, immediately you feel so relaxing and comfortable. I should’ve bought more last year ar price $49.5
Great chairRayaWe bought this for our covered front porch. Had an old one(very old) that needed replacing. Very happy to find this style available and love the look and feel of this chair.5
Chairs moldy after 1 rain showerLisaAll 4 chairs discoloured with speckles of dark mildew/mold after it rained. I've only had these chairs for 2 months (bought in Calgary) and they sat on covered deck for a very dry August and September here in BC. Why wasn't there a warning not to use outdoors? Aren't rattan and wicker materials supposed to be pre-treated with an anti-fungal agent by the manufacturer before they are woven? Cleaning them to remove the black spots has proven impossible. I love IKEA products so this is heartbreaking. I have 2 much older IKEA wicker chairs that have a light lacquer finish and they've had no mold or mildew issues handling rain. Highly disappointed!1
Nice light chair. I wantedStefanieNice light chair. I wanted it for inside and outside. It is definitely suited for both. It is not super comfortable especially the back but with back cushions the problem might be mitigated.4

Been waiting for a longAngieBeen waiting for a long time for these to come back - txs!5
I want to love it…..JanThis is my second Agen. It has a nice tropical look placed in a small reading area with a round wicker (vintage Ikea) ottoman and a potted palm. However, it’s not very comfortable to sit and read for any length of time and it’s so high that my feet barely touch the floor, which feels really odd. Also, it’s incredibly light in weight so it slides around on the hardwood floor. But it looks great! I bought it in the “as is” section at a significantly reduced price so I have to take that into consideration. The other one I own is used as a guest bedroom chair on carpet so it works just fine.3
Beautiful, Comfortable, DurableAnonymous reviewerThis is actually one of the most comfortable chairs I found at Ikea. We've had ours for years now and it gets heavy use. It is still sturdy, still beautiful. Pretty much as new! (Who knew wicker could be this durable?) Very happy with this purchase. Would recommend. Would buy again. 10 out of 10.5
The chair is beautiful butTarcilaThe chair is beautiful but not that comfortable. It’s not sturdy either. Working fine so far.4

Good chair for great priceAnonymous reviewerPerfect indoor or outdoor sturdy chair but will snag delicate clothes. Get the seat cushion that goes with it.4
Wicker chairCarolPerfect fit for my room luv it4
A cute chairJingjingI like the material (rattan and bamboo). It is natural and is cool in the summer. My husband complained about the uneven of the surface. This will be solved if there is a cushion on the top. Unfortunately, there is only one color for the matching cushion. It's not the desirable one (light pink)4
ChairAnonymous reviewerAwesome . I am happy with this.5
Bad quality chairAnonymous reviewerI got this chair back in March because I wanted to have bamboo like furniture in my apartment. The chair is not comfortable even with cushion I got for it. Now after around two months of daily normal use, the chair is not holding up. When seating, the legs start stretching to the point the height is not the same. I will request a refund. The quality of this chair is not acceptable. Not to mention that Ikea did not deliver it with my normal order and I had to wait 4 more days to get it delivered.2
Super cute and affordableAnonymous reviewerPerfect chair for my reading nook. Can be brought outside onto the patio as well. Love it.5

I love these stylish chairs, so glad that you still sell them. They are perfect in my conservatory or outside on the patio in warmer weather.

This is my third lot of Agen in 30 years - still excellent value for money, and long lasting, in spite of the cats!

    Material

    What is rattan?

Rattan is a climbing plant belonging to the palm tree family. It grows as a vine on tree trunks, its fast-growing tendrils easily reaching 60, and sometimes more than 300, feet long. They can be harvested without harming the host trees and grow back quickly once harvested. We use this lightweight, flexible and durable material in products like armchairs, rocking chairs, side tables, outdoor furniture and for handmade baskets.
