Ratings and reviews
Does not match photo onlineNerminaAll the shelves of this piece had a salmon pink color to them. Looks nothing like the photo online which was disappointing. Not sure if we just got a bad batch but they should have never even sold this one. Returned immediately
This product is made with several tiny pieces that are glued together and it’s very visible.SherilynSorry to say, but I’m finding in the past few years, IKEA had really gone downhill in their quality of products.
Painful assemblyJulianeVery difficult to assemble when being distracted. I got a couple of those round screw things that you need to twist twice in the wrong hole...there are two types...getting them out was painful and took me almost another hour. At the end I got them out, finished the job. There is a problem with mine, the top part does not properly seal with the back of the cabinet, there is now a gap which I can tolerate.
Inadequate magnetsMatthewVery expensive for what it is. The trouble we have is the doors do not want to stay shut. We had to add super magnets to the door close magnets. Otherwise it’s okay.
Functional, but could be betterErinSo, the reviews were pretty awful, but it's exactly what I was looking for and so I took a chance anyway. In short - the difference in quality between the two different materials used is startling.
The acacia wood is horrid. It needed sanding and I doubt it was laquered as stated. It's rough. Literally. The rattan was in good condition, no problems there.
The eucalyptus veneers over particle board, on the other hand, are gorgeous. They're thick, and solid, with a hefty weight to them and lovely finish. It's a pretty startling difference between the shelves/base/top and the acacia used to trim the doors and sides.
The magnets on the doors function just fine, but one of the doors is a bit twisted out of square: the bottom sits forward about 1/4". It's not that noticeable unless you look for it but it is there.
Overall, I like it. As I don't plan on using it frequently (it's to hide things that aren't used often) it'll do the job I bought it for just fine.
Perfect Boho Style, Flawed DesignCandaceI love the look of them but long term function is not going to work.
We purchase two of these cabinets + the matching tv bench. All of the doors won’t open and close properly. The way the door system was designed does not work, the magnets in place as too weak to grab the doors closed. If you move the magnets forward, the strength is there but then the doors don’t align.
We are going to try and troubleshoot before loading everything up and making the hour drive back to IKEA.
