Stackable IKEA 365+ Glass ContainersJimExcellent products! Very versatile and adaptable to my needs. The rubber seal is easily removable for better cleaning and hygiene. The glass containers are also stackable, low cost, easy to clean, and keep the food safe from toxic xenoestrogens that can leach from plastic walled containers.5

Terrific food storageGAYLEIKEA glass storage jars are just perfect. I like the taller ones and the nice round ones, and the . . . .well, all of them. I especially like that most come without lids, which are sold separately. I have found in the past with other makes, that either the glass slips and breaks sometime, or the lid wears out and i'm left with a useless piece. With IKEA, i can replace the broken piece if i ever need to - so far, these containers are holding up very well.5

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
