    NOT Microwave and dishwasher safe JoanneI noticed white marks develop on my containers the 1st time after using it. I always thought it was just not clean enough, and just kept trying different methods to remove it/avoided using it altogether for a whole year. I only learned today online that those marks were just the plastic melting. So that microwave-safe/dishwasher-safe symbol is a lie :(1

    Absolute favourite food storageKateI've been using these containers for over 5 years now - they're durable, never leak even when shaken or inverted, are super easy to clean and can't stain, and convenient because you can microwave in them without worrying at all about plastic in your food. A few of the lids don't fold/clip well, so I test the lids I buy with the container before leaving the store and they've been great ever since. 5

    These are now my favorite containers. Over Christmas I was using them constantly for leftovers and storing food. I even use them for serving food when we have a BBQ. I am going to buy more and get rid of the old glass ones.

    Material

    What is glass?

    Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
