Cheap quality, depth does not fit legal filesAlvinLooks nice, but is very poorly made. Cam screws crack the finish, chips very easily, and the drawers are unnecessarily difficult to take off the rails. Also, the depth does not fit legal files, which is a huge waste of space. You can only put legal files the width of the drawer which results in huge waste of space. There should be a dimension listing of the interior of the drawer.

Sturdy, elegant, simple, efficient DominiqueBought this for my office for its simple classic line and I love it. Easy to assemble for one person, compare to the one I bought and returned from another company. It seems sturdy (have it for 3 weeks now), only time will tell… but so far I’m very satisfied with my purchase. I recommend this product.
Sleek and functionalSamI had this in my work office and when the need for a new cabinet came up at home I gravitated towards this again. It's visually pleasing and is functional for what is needed. It is a bit frustrating that if you want a legal sized folder you cannot use the other side of the cabinet, but some storage boxes work well. I wish the sides of the drawers came up a bit higher than they do, but overall it does the job. I did have to return the first one because there was quite extensive damage to the faces of the drawers and top when we opened the boxes (no exterior damage to boxes) and that was quite frustrating to have to go back to IKEA, but they were great about it.
Very elegant looking cabinet. I have not used it yet but it seems that if you want to use legal size files, you can only use one side of the drawer. I personally use legal files. Seems practical for the letter size files. MebPlease see comments above.

Does the job, instructions need imrovementVeronicaWanted to replace ugly black dented 2-drawer cabinet with one that matches my white office furniture. I think it was too expensive but bit the bullet. Took me about 3-4 hours to put it together as I got stuck a couple of times. When you get to page 45, save the headache and do both top and bottom black tabs (clips) BEFORE inserting drawers. The other timely piece was the lock. I must have moved it while putting it together and it was preventing me from proceeding with step 45. Look online for videos to help with this part. There is a solution available. One last thing, it is tippy when you pull out drawers filled with folders so please be careful. I have carpet so may be a little more stable on hardwood floors. Best to anchor to wall to avoid injuries.

Broken lock, will not unlockIrisWe purchased this item two days ago and our lock will not unlock. Please let me know how you can reset it as files are stuck in it.
I have looked at many videos as this seems to be a problem with this cabinet.

Small improvements could make this so much better’sKristinaThese filing cabinets werejust what I wanted in colour and size. I picked and ordered the two unit filing cabinet but apparently that’s just to single units. There is a space to have a little.bracket to hold them together but I guess that piece doesn’t exist. I had to ask for some help with the locking mechanisms but the on-line help was useless. Had to go back to store. You know you have to wear your thinking cap when you’re putting something like this together. I found the instructions work unnecessarily basic couple more pieces of info would’ve helped a lot.

completely disappointed to find that if you want to use legal hanging folders, about one third of the cabinet is then unuseable in terms of filing. I bought this for filing and the amount of unusable space is very disappointing.

Great filing cabinetCelestiaBeautiful cabinet that matches well with the Malm and Mike line of desks. the files are inserted front to back in two rows rather than left to right in one row. If you'd like to have two rows the files must be letter sized.

What is particleboard?
