What delivery options does IKEA offer?
IKEA offers Home Delivery, Parcel Delivery, and Click & Collect. Home Delivery includes 'Doorstep' and 'In-Home' options. Parcel Delivery is ideal for smaller items through post, and Click & Collect allows you to pick up your order from an IKEA store or Pick-up location. Lastly, in certain areas we offer Curbside Delivery.
- Home Delivery: This option brings your order right to your address.
a. Doorstep Delivery: Your items are delivered to the front door of your selected delivery address. If your selected address is a residential apartment or unit complex, the order will be delivered to the front door of the foyer or building. 'Authority to Leave' is automatically applied to all Doorstep deliveries. If you are not home to accept your delivery, the delivery company will leave your order in a safe, clean and dry area.
b. In-Home Delivery: This service is ideal for larger orders where you may need help with carrying the products inside your home. The delivery driver will bring the goods into your selected delivery address and place them in one room of your choice. A 4-hour time window is provided for this service, and you will be notified 30-60 minutes prior to your delivery arriving. In the event where you missed the delivery, please contact us to reschedule. Additionnal fees might be apply.
- Parcel Delivery: Ideal for smaller orders like accessories or home decor where the total weight of the order does not exceed 23kg (50 lbs). The delivery date provided is an estimate and will be delivered within 7-10 business days from the delivery date stated on your order. Parcel orders are delivered to your selected delivery address. If you are not at home to receive your parcel, the delivery person will leave your order in a secure area, or they will leave a tag on your door to notify you where to pick up your order.
- Click & Collect: The Click & Collect service allows you to collect your order from our IKEA stores. Once your order is ready for collection, you will receive an SMS or email notification with instructions on how and where to collect your order. You will need to have photo ID and a copy of your proof of purchase ready to show the co-workers at the store. If you have arranged for someone else to collect the order on your behalf, they will need to bring the original order confirmation or invoice and photo ID. In the event where you are unable to collect your order, it will be held for an extra 24 hours following the original collection time.
- Pick-up Locations: Ideal for customers who may live further away from our IKEA stores, this service allows you to save on travel time and instead pick up your order at one of our authorized pick-up locations. When you place your IKEA order, you will be asked to select a time and date that suits you best from the provided list. You will then have to wait for the email notifying you that your order is ready for pick-up. Orders to our pick-up locations will be held for seven (7) days (14 days for locations in BC).
- Curbside delivery: Your order will be delivered to the entryway of your home, which may include stairs or the first dry area, this is a one-person delivery service and does not require a signature, and the customer will be responsible for bringing your order inside. Delivery date picked is not be guaranteed, customer will be contacted prior the offical delivery date and the service price will depend on the size of the order.
Before a Curbside Delivery
- Delivery Schedule: Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, based on availability in your area. Your estimated delivery date and time window will be provided at checkout. Your final delivery date will be confirmed by the delivery provider once the goods have arrived at their terminal.
- Customer Notification: The delivery provider will contact you on or before the delivery day to confirm the estimated time of arrival.
- Access Requirements: Please ensure clear and safe access to the delivery location.
Please note: if you are trying to place an order, but no delivery options are available to you, it is either because one or more items you have selected are out of stock, or delivery in your area is completely booked. In both cases, we recommend trying again later since we replenish stock on a daily basis, and new delivery slots open regularly.
