Can I return a product in store?

If you have purchased from IKEA Australia online or in-store, you can return your product to any IKEA store in Australia.

Please note that you can only return IKEA products that you have bought in Australia to IKEA Australia stores. Find your nearest IKEA store.
Prepare your return online and save valuable time in the store
To save time in the store and skip the regular queue, start your return online using the Express return option. This is how it works:
  1. Open the Express return form.
  2. Add your receipt/order number details. You need to have your receipt/proof of purchase available when creating the return. If you don't have it physically, you can find it by accessing your Purchase history page if you're an IKEA Family member.
  3. Enter the products you want to return. You can add up to 10 items.
  4. Provide all requested details. You will for example have to choose a reason for your return.
  5. Submit the form once everything is complete.
  6. Receive your return barcode. It will be sent to you via SMS and email.
  7. Visit an IKEA store within 14 days, along with the barcode and the product(s) you want to return. The Return & Exchange desk is usually located near the entrance/exit of the IKEA store. Once you get there, you will find a specific queue for customers who have created an express return.
Please note that if you do not prepare your return online before going to the store, you will have to bring your receipt/proof of purchase together with the product.
