Ranging from semi-sheer to more room darkening fabric colors and weights, IKEA panel curtains effortlessly slide open and closed on their VIDGA curtain tracks. Single window panels can be hung for narrow windows or those that need just a bit of light blocking, however it is more common to hang two or three sliding curtains that can be ‘stacked’ for more coverage and flexibility.
What you need to hang window panels
Each panel is sold individually, and each requires its own panel curtain holder and dedicated curtain track. Most compatible tracks in the VIDGA series can be mounted from the ceiling or the wall, with hardware typically included for one style of mounting. Please see the product details for each for more information.
Let’s assume you wanted to hang three sliding curtain panels. In that scenario, you would need:
- 3 panel curtains
- 3 panel curtain holders
- 3 separate panel curtain tracks—one for each window panel. This could be accomplished through mounting three single track rails, a single track and double track rail, or a triple track rail.
