Product details

Brass-colored details on the headboard, footboard and legs give a unique twist to this classic design.

The powder-coated steel frame is strong, sturdy and easy to maintain.

You can sit up comfortably in bed thanks to the high headboard – just prop some pillows behind your back and you will have a comfortable place to read or watch TV.

There’s plenty of space under the bed for storage boxes – great for stowing extra quilts and sheets.

You can choose the mattress comfort that’s best for you – the high headboard and footboard work well with mattresses of different thicknesses.

The high footboard keeps bed textiles from falling onto the floor while you sleep.

Whether you prefer bold or romantic, this versatile bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture.

17 layer-glued slats adjust to your body weight and increase the suppleness of the mattress.

Darling bedframe shapeDIANAShipment comes in separate pieces, sturdy & light, easy to build and move around. Fits nicely in my bedroom with great options for decor. The wood slats are durable and my memory foam mattress feels stable even without a box spring, etc..5
Timeless (and squeak free) design!AURORA D.Easy assembly with included tools. I don't understand the hate for IKEA furniture assembly, but as far as that aspect is concerned, this is a truly easy build. PLUS after a few years, and a disassembly/reassembly, this frame is still squeak free and solid! I wanted to share the URL with a friend who liked the look and had to write a review while I was here. Love this and hope it remains available for others to enjoy!5
Lovely and solidJoy R.Now that it’s in my bedroom, I love it! Very solid. Looks great with a mix of modern and antiques. No center supports to scratch the hardwood floors. Exactly what I wanted. The bed was ok to put together. The bed slats omg. Those were a pain.5
Bed AssemblyJimSeemed to have more separate pieces than necessary. Some connections could have been easier if designed to allow for use of power tools.3
My girls love it!HayleighPurchased two of these for my little girls’ room. They are so pleased! Easy to assemble (the separate slats were the hardest part). We love these bed frames!5
Love the bed!KARENWe love the black metal bed for our guest room! Easy for my husband and I (seniors)to put together! Good quality for the price and the look that I wanted! I would recommend this bed!5
Great produstWilliamOver all, I am satisfied with bed frame. Only issue was the bolts on side rails, space is narrow for an Alan wrench, but once you put it together, it’s very sturdy.5
classic bedThomas P.A classic bed frame that can fit any style you're working with.5

Great bed, Terrible assembly instructionsTammy F.I am in love with this bed. I bought it in a Queen, the white version. It is beautiful and sturdy. Seriously love the bed itself. But be warned that the instructions to put it together are a joke. If I knew how stupidly hard it was going to be to put together I would have paid the extra $ to have it put together for me. It would not have been nearly so hard to do if the instructions were not complete garbage. They make no sense at all. I have never been so frustrated trying to put together a piece of furniture.5
Doesn"t squeak, recommend box springMelissa S.I've had this bed for a few weeks, and it's been great. Easy to put together, sturdy, and doesn't squeak. I had one of the wooden storage beds before and even a light breeze would make that squeak, but not this one, which is hard to find these days in this price point. I use a 6in box spring that lifts the base of my mattress about even to the top of the side metal slats, and a 9in mattress puts it just under the horizontal bar of the headboard, and the footboard still sticks up about 2-3in. I personally prefer the height and look of the box spring. No need for the wooden slats, box spring fits perfectly on the little ledges. 9in clearance under bed for storage. Wish there was more, but this was the best bed for all my needs. Should be easy to dismantle and move. Put together by myself in less than an hour.5
Very solid and sturdy. EasyJudyVery solid and sturdy. Easy to assemble.5
Beautiful Black Iron BedSophieThe bed looks elegant and more expensive than it actually was.5
AMAZINGAbigailI’ve had it for about a month now and it’s been GREAT. The material is awesome and can hold over 500+ lbs (everyone got on it - they were clean, no outside clothes). Very easy to assembly which is one if the many reasons why I love about IKEA.5
BeautifulEsatSolid and looking good easy to install5
I just love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️AnnaI will definitely buy another one5
Nice!TeresaBed was super easy to assemble - took my daughter and I less than one hour. I love how it looks; simple and classy. The only point I wasn't happy with is that the slatted bed base must be purchased with the bed. I already had a box spring from my previous bed which fit perfectly and raised the mattress to a height that, to me, looks better with the bed. I now have a slatted bed base just sitting in my closet. Funny, this same bed base can be purchased separately so why did I have to pay for it when I didn't need it?5
SturdyAngelaWell made and easily assembled.5
BeautifulCyndeeAmazing piece5
Beautiful Bed!MelissaLove the bed, perfect for my daughters room. Was especially pleased with the quality and sturdiness of it. Does not creak or squeak and is very solid. Would recommend.5

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.

Designer thoughts

"When I designed SAGSTUA bed frame, I was inspired by the ornamental wire work on traditional entrance gates. I wanted to create a classical design with references to the past that works in a modern home; something that flirts with the romantic, but can appeal to many. The thick tubing forms a traditional and sturdy silhouette, balanced with brass colored details as the finishing touch. Dressed with your favorite linens, I hope this bed becomes your own personal haven."
