ShrinkingStephenI brought 15 pairs of these drapes when we were building our new home last year. I really liked them, but now they need to be washed. I washed the sets in the dining room first. Cold water, gentle cycle and hung them outside to dry since the label says machine wash and no dryer. I'm glad I ste out to do one window at a time because when we hung them back up the were completely out of shape and all different lengths! Horrible and completely unacceptable. I feel like I just threw away my money. I can't put these back in my dining room and the other 12 pairs need to be washed and I can't. So I guess I'm stuck with dirty drapes! Never again. Please believe the reviews you see about this. DO NOT BUY THESE DRAPES!!!!! At least not if you intend to wash them at any point.
Beautiful but quality control issueMaddianinaI bought 4 sets of these curtains 3 years ago, hemmed them, hung them and they were beautiful! They needed a wash so I washed them and they shrunk almost a full foot!? So my thought… I’ll buy 4 more sets, not hem them, wash them, and let them shrink. Because shrinking a foot is where I hemmed them lol. Oh did they drink! Some more than 12 inches and some 10 inches. They’re all over the place! I still think the quality is stunning. They’re thick, lay nicely, allow light through and add privacy. But never plan to wash them!
Beautiful UNTIL…SenecaThey are beautiful up UNTIL it’s time for a wash. I decided to wash all four pairs I purchased the same day. The amount of shrinkage that takes place during the wash is unacceptable. Some of the panels shrunk between 8-10 inches with just a wash and air dry. I managed to gain most but not all of the inches back with an iron. If you think that’s bad, it gets worse. The panels not only shrink but also lose their shape. Each panel no longer has an even length. They now look like they were hemmed unevenly. These curtains are practically disposable after first use. Not worth the money or headache in my opinion. I wish I listened to the reviews but I thought it can’t be that bad… TRUST ME, ITS BAD….

Beautiful curtainsJoneI needed curtains for my living room that were 99 inches long. It was difficult to find. I also wanted them to be ivory in color. These are 98 inches but are fine and look beautiful. I wish they were lined to help block more sun but still very satisfied.
They're great until washed (as per directions).CI loved how light. airy and cottony (not polyester) these curtains were. Though I'd read all the reviews about shrinking upon washing, I needed curtains quickly and chose to hang them without washing first.
After I had to wash them (cat issue), I'm left with 6 cotton panels each of unequal lengths.; I can't hang a pair in a window because there aren't two panels close enough in length to actually look like a pair.
It's too bad, but without manufacturer pre-washing or somehow making the fabric not shrink these curtains are more a one-time use article.
Note: I didn't try dry cleaning the curtains (see 'cat issues'), so I can't address how the fabric responds to that cleaning method. Good luck.

Good buyElkeThese are made from cotton and rayon which means they drink. Wash them before you trim them, and do not put them in the dryer as the label says. They dry very wrinkled which is why I didn’t give them 5 stars, but they also iron beautifully. I love them, would buy them again. You can’t beat the price.
