No hardware for hanging foldersJoanWhile the piece is attractive and relatively well made, there was no hardware for hanging folders included. The size of the file drawer with the insert is not standard. Files don't hang on the drawer and if you were to add rails there is not enough clearance with the shelf above the drawer for folder tabs. I've put together many Ikea pieces in the past but this one was really tough. The instructions are unclear as to where to put the shelf holders and they are difficult to move once installed. I gave up and had someone assemble it. Took a pro 2 hours.1

Versatile modular side unitAngelThis was tricky to assemble but looks nice next to the Bekant workstation. It can hold your items such as stapler, tape dispenser, etc. leaving your desktop uncluttered. Bottom drawer does not hold hanging files but will hold letter size manila folders.4

Great For Any Room in the HomeVerified BuyerI have had this for almost a year now and it's awesome. I use it next to my bed to store files in the bottom and books and a decorative item or two on the shelf. Occasionally, I get the munchies and I might have a little snack on it too. I actually hang my earbuds and my remote to the tv on the hook. I love having it on wheels since it's a bit heavy and it's easily moved around on carpet or hardwood. 10 out of 10!5

My idea with BEKANT was to make a storage series that suits today’s flexible, versatile and dynamic working environments. It’s furniture that is easy to move around and use in different ways, while being stable, robust and meeting all the demands of efficient storage. As we work in a more fluid way, the boundaries between work and the home are also becoming less clear – so BEKANT is naturally just as suitable to use in the home as at the office.
