Looks cute but need file insertsAnnie D.Love how this cabinet looks! I got it to replace my junky old filing cabinet. After reading reviews, I was made aware it doesn’t come with file inserts… I decided to buy it anyway thinking it would be easy to find a hanging file insert that fits in the drawers but of course the drawer size is slightly smaller that your standard hanging file insert. Has any one bad luck finding an insert that works for these drawers?!
Otherwise, it is a great piece. Took me about 3 hours to put it together, needed some assistance hanging the doors but it wasn’t too bad really.
Hard to put togetherZach S.Took me almost 4 hours to pith this together. There are no written instructions just pictures. Nothing is labeled beyond a key in the front of the manual. It looks great and works great the set up is just a lot of work.

Would purchase anotherAllison S.Cabinet looks great, the build was easier then expected after reading the reviews of others. Few things to remember with the drawers: put these together while sitting at a table for a flat surface, ensure all the pieces are properly aligned before bending the metal tabs, and there are two drawer fronts so the second one will have the square opening on the other side. All the screws should find their proper homes. Don’t over think inserting the drawers into the cabinet, just push them in and feel it sink into place. Hanging the doors was trickier then the drawer builds for me. The hinges snap into place once aligned.
If you have built metal Ikea cabinets before, the instructions have a similar feel. Most frustrating part was getting the doors to align properly while sitting on carpeted floors. I blame the floors.
Yes, as others have stated you would need something to hang files with placed inside the drawers. The space could accommodate a holder.

Sturdy design- great usabilityALEXIOSWhen loading the two boxes for assembly the thought was this is very heavy. It makes sense however because it’s well-built it’s all metal. The assembly process I was told was going to be one of the more challenging ones. Lol I’m very happy to say that I was able to complete the assembly with no glitches whatsoever. My only recommendation is if you could come up with some type of hard plastic twisting mechanism to bend the metal tabs, instead of a screwdriver.
Great storage cabinet!Sarah B.So I definitely checked out the reviews ahead of time as I’m a single female who planned to assemble this by myself. Having prepared mentally for difficulties with assembly, I was surprised that it came together pretty easily, though took a couple of hours (I accidentally used the wrong screws on one section and had to redo it). Like another reviewer, I’m using it for shoe storage and it is infinitely nicer than the stacked shoe racks I had before. It does scratch easily, but not gouged out scratches, just little ones you see at an angle when the light hits it just right, versus looking at it head on. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on it so far and the green is lovely.

Printer Station DeluxeChrisDecided to use a printer stand which also doubles as supply storage. It's great and sturdy. Bottom Drawers are a little tricky to assemble.
Nice but tediousKaty S.Love the design and the storage options this cabinet gives you but holy heck is it a pain to assemble. About halfway though the difficulty takes a complete nosedive when assembling the drawers and doors. Parts are way to flimsy and don't line up properly when building the drawers. It's easier to build them in reverse. And good luck finding a screwdriver skinny enough because you'll be putting in screws that are almost flush against something else. I like the product and the looks of it but how it assembles needs some serious redesign.

Dangerous Designvincent m.This design is the worst I've seen from Ikea. Very disappointing. I ended up throwing it out half way through the build. I've been a contractor for 30 years, I know when I see a poor design, this should be taken off the shelves or redesigned immediately.
BeautifulKenGreat piece of furniture! Listen to the directions and use two people. I did it by myself and wanted to rip my hair out. Would have been done in a third of the time if I had help.
Great product, tricky drawersJohn B.This is a great piece with all the hallmarks of the best Ikea--good looks, practical, and good value for money. It was a breeze to build 80% of this piece, and absolutely terrible to do the other 20%. The drawers are like putting together a house of cards, and the metal tab fasteners mean you only have so many tries to get it right. Additionally, the new rail system is not explained well in the instructions at all. My tip is: put the drawers in so they sit *on* the hook at the back, not in front of it. If you make it through, you'll have a great cabinet at the end.
NOT A FILING CABINETDana B.This product is misleading! The two pull out drawers are NOT meant for filing folders, even though it looks like a filing cabinet. This was confirmed with their customer support. So annoying. What design team approved this?
