Improved!! AmandaI had gotten these in the past, about at least three others and there was always this issue with the drawer backs not aligning into the grooves on the sides. I always had to hammer that down to fit. They placed these notches on the bottom slide to allow the drawer back to fit much better now!! Its better than before!! Kudos Ikea!

Significant quality declineNikitaThe one I bought in 2016 still holds sturdy. The one I bought in 2025 is different in materials of drawers. They are flimsy. It can be bearable. The deal breaker are sliders. They are not smooth and took effort to close the drawer. Also edges of drawers became sharper which makes the unit less "friendly". It's not 1-star product, more about 3, I put 1 star to raise awarness of manufacturer.
Ikea also charge for delivery no matter what order amount which is uncommon practice in current market. Their charge is on a very high end.
Perfect under a deskFranceI bought two then i got a top. The drawer are deep enough for everything . My husband had to watch a utube video on how to mount it because they were some part that he did not where it belong. Typical of Ikea instructions
Plastic fasteners breakAshleyThey provided plastic fasteners instead of metal for a lot of the screws and they break extremely easily. If you're going to cheap out and give us crappy plastic at least put extras in so we have replacements when they inevitably break. What's odd is the drawers come with the metal fasteners so clearly you're aware of the need for better quality materials.

The unit w/castors is the same height as my small desk and sits next to it without a gap, expanding the surface work area, The closed storage fits 3 hanging file boxes on the bottom, and the top shelf holds textbooks. Very sturdy piece and an easy build for two people. Very happy with this purchase.
Lots of storage--looks greatJoyceThis piece is functional and aesthetically pleasing. I love the dark grey color because it recedes into the background and doesn't scream--STORAGE! The drawers are very spacious. Great value.
Drawer UnitReneeThe drawer unit was a good buy. I put the wheels on it which made it a little taller than the file unit. So if you want to use the two pieces together for a desk base, do not put the wheels on this unit! The casters are a separate purchase.
Pretty much did what I neededBarbaraMy unit was put together today, and it was what I hoped it would be for storing my many colors of serger thread. But I was disappointed that the drawers did not pull out fully. This caused me to have about 4 inches of space in the back of the drawer that cannot be used and which causes my serger thread to move around within the drawer rather than fit tightly in place. The guides need to be longer so the drawer will pull out fully. Or make the drawers shorter. Either would work since I can't use the back 4 inches anyway. I gave it five stars because I can use it for what I planned, just not as efficiently as I would like.
