Poor qualitySueI purchased the unit in 2023 , took another few months to build it as we were remodeling. It houses craft supplies which I do not use often. Only the top drawer gets used more frequently. I hadn’t used the bottom drawers in a while. I discovered earlier this year that the bottom of the lower drawer had sagged completely making it impossible to open the drawer below it. Why would you buy something that does not last even 2 years. I had same problem with Komplement drawer for PaX wardrobe. That did not last even 6 months. I am an ikea customer for > 25 years and their quality is so unpredictable.
Absolute best!AlexisThey are amazing drawers. Love the storage I can use with these. The only little thing I don't enjoy is them being a little too narrow for what I was trying to use them for.
Drawer slides pre installed!KarenI have assembled and installed a kitchen with of Ikea cabinets. Installing the drawers has always been the most frustrating part. The Alex comes with the slides already attached to the cabinets so that frustration is gone!! When assembling, note the bottom three drawers Are taller than the other ones. Make sure they go in the bottom slides. I bought the cabinet to house my sewing supplies and it works great for that. The skinny drawers work well for holding projects in process to tidy them out of the way. Come with me
Cruddy materials not fully drilled for assemblyMarci1 drawer had boards with no holes drilled. Husband is a wiz with wood and dowel/glued it together. Outside scratches too easily through grey finish showing white. Made of sawdust that crumbled out when assembling. Rated a few stars because I love it assembled. But have to baby it to prevent scratching through thin grey exterior. Stick with white color if used by kids or locations with normal usage.
Art Supply CabinetLeighWe needed a cabinet to store art supplies: paint tubes, brushes, small canvases and similar. This little unit had a lot of capacity and tall enough drawers to make paints (almost) immediately accessible
Fits perfectly, works as desiredMichaelThe unit was pretty reasonable to assemble, although it took some time since it has 6 shelves. For me, I have it on carpet under an IKEA desk so I didn't use the casters. Works like a champ!
Perfect watercolor paper storage!MelindaFlat file storage is expensive but this little storage unit is perfect and reasonably priced to provide storage for half sheets of watercolor paper and other art related items such as drawing pads, pre cut mats and completed paintings and drawings. It fits under my drawing table so it does not take up any floor space. I love it!
Okay for priceTaylorEasy to assemble, and good for clothing, but not good for heavy items, like cards, Extra support had to be given to the drawers as the design was cheap and fell out under weight. Otherwise great product.

Sturdy - used it for a couple of decadesJudyBought one at least 20 years ago because I needed lots of shallow drawers to store paper goods. Soon after bought second one for closet storage of lingerie, sox, etc. Now they're being used for other storage, they don't wear out and stay looking fresh and new after a bit of neglect and abuse. One complaint - the drawers don't open all the way so loose things are hard to fish out when they get shoved to the back. Otherwise 5 stars!

Great piece of furnatureMarilynI love the Alex unit. I put all my sewing thread in the drawers. My only complaint is that I paid to have it assembled at my home. It was assigned to Task Rabbit. It was scheduled and cancelled 4 times by Task Rabbit. I finally called IKEA and asked for a refund of the assembly fee. I had to pay a handyman to put it together. I was very very disappointed.

Better with a fully open drawer slideStevenThey do not claim to have full extension drawer slide it would be a nice add. The drawers only open about 60 percent, too much wasted space in the back of the drawer. .

Perfect StorageAnonymous reviewerI bought the tall one a couple of years ago and really liked it, so I ordered two more of the wider ones. Love the sleek look. Made very well. I stacked them which I know they don’t recommend. Seems to be working fine and don’t see a problem. Put clear flat 1” sticky feet on the bottom of the top one. They are in my walk-in closet which is not huge. You will find a million things to put in them. Have fun with them!
If you're an artist with 18x24" paperShannonIf you're an artist hoping to store your 18x24" paper and pads, they will not fit. I enjoy the burn from the workout I got putting it together, but I should have read the interior dimensions more closely. I waited so long to be able to buy this. Now I have it and nothing fits. I would cry if I wasn't in shock.
