Okay for priceTaylorEasy to assemble, and good for clothing, but not good for heavy items, like cards, Extra support had to be given to the drawers as the design was cheap and fell out under weight. Otherwise great product.

Sturdy - used it for a couple of decadesJudyBought one at least 20 years ago because I needed lots of shallow drawers to store paper goods. Soon after bought second one for closet storage of lingerie, sox, etc. Now they're being used for other storage, they don't wear out and stay looking fresh and new after a bit of neglect and abuse. One complaint - the drawers don't open all the way so loose things are hard to fish out when they get shoved to the back. Otherwise 5 stars!

Great piece of furnatureMarilynI love the Alex unit. I put all my sewing thread in the drawers. My only complaint is that I paid to have it assembled at my home. It was assigned to Task Rabbit. It was scheduled and cancelled 4 times by Task Rabbit. I finally called IKEA and asked for a refund of the assembly fee. I had to pay a handyman to put it together. I was very very disappointed.

Perfect StorageAnonymous reviewerI bought the tall one a couple of years ago and really liked it, so I ordered two more of the wider ones. Love the sleek look. Made very well. I stacked them which I know they don’t recommend. Seems to be working fine and don’t see a problem. Put clear flat 1” sticky feet on the bottom of the top one. They are in my walk-in closet which is not huge. You will find a million things to put in them. Have fun with them!
If you're an artist with 18x24" paperShannonIf you're an artist hoping to store your 18x24" paper and pads, they will not fit. I enjoy the burn from the workout I got putting it together, but I should have read the interior dimensions more closely. I waited so long to be able to buy this. Now I have it and nothing fits. I would cry if I wasn't in shock.

My favorites, but not perfect and are expensiveRobertI have two of these units and they serve as excellent storage units for me. If I could fit more in my office I probably would have another one. I would like it even better if the two bottom drawers were one deeper bottom drawer because I'd like a wide but deeper drawer. I don't think they design one this way due to the limited strength the drawer bottoms have. I have the narrow file storage unit (which I'm not at all happy with), the door unit and the narrow five drawer unit on casters as well and they provide me with storage I used to be lacking. This unit is expensive, much of that I'm sure is due to transport because there are a lot of parts to these and it makes them very heavy. One with fewer and deeper drawers should also cost less. Weight seems to certainly be a factor in cost at IKEA.
Love it but could use a few tweaksSindiaBought this in 2021 or 2022, and it is still going on strong! I love the idea of it; the drawers are the perfect height for all my miscellaneous crafts/hobbies. However, my biggest hurdle has been that the drawers only open half to three-quarters of the way. Anything I store in the back, I often forget about because I can't see it, or I have to take a bunch of items out to reach it. Overall has been really useful, though, just wish that the design issue could be fixed.
Quality has gone downYaelI have two other items from this series (the tall drawer unit and a cabinet) and the quality used to be great. Now it seems like this is literally made out of paper. Easily dented, and I doubt it will survive a move. Such a shame because I used to love Ikea furniture but now they're trending towards unacceptably low quality.
Overpriced but attractive Anonymous reviewerLuckily I am only using this to store paper for my cricut. The unit is made from particleboard. It is heavy due the amount of parts. It will serve its purpose but I doubt if it would hold up for any other purpose. It did go together in under an hour and all holes were drilled correctly. All fasteners were in the box.
