Manufacturing issuesGwendolynThis piece has a lot of things working against it. For one, it's the newer version so nobody's YouTube videos are particularly helpful. The instructions are not really able to communicate some of the more complicated moves, so they don't inspire confidence. This is really a problem when pieces apparently aren't fitting together because of manufacturing issues. I feel like this was designed for tighter tolerances than the manufacture actually accomplished. I had to re-bend a specific tab on three of the five drawers. But it took me a long time to figure that out because the instructions weren't much support and I wasn't sure if I just wasn't doing it wrong.
AwfulDanicaTerrible and flimsy. I could not even get past step 3 of building this because the directions were awful, and the quality of materials was awful. it actually pissed me off
Do not buyMaoIncredibly difficult to open. You have to hold the unit down to pull open the drawers because they do not open smoothly, or else the unit rolls forward. The drawers and the unit come apart during use.
I’ve purchased this twice in ten years. Never again.
#1 terrible product from IKEALissaI’ve put A LOT of IKEA furniture over the years but this might have been THE most confusing piece with awful awful instructions. Additionally, some pieces were damaged even though the packaging was not, which makes me think that it was returned, repackaged, and resold as new. AND since I bought online I can either drive 3 hours to my nearest IKEA to return OR pay $45 to have it shipped to their nearest warehouse. Don’t buy this.
No room for errorsBonnieIf you snap something incorrectly despite the cryptic pictures, there's no "undoing" it. The rails for the drawers only appear to go in one way, but apparently they don't because they are upside down, and there is no way to correct them. What a waste.
Difficult assembly, love the final productHeatherPutting this thing together was a beast (learn from my mistakes and make sure the drawer slides really snap into place before turing the unit on its side or they will all fall out; use a drill for the screws on the bottom) but I loved how it turned out. It’s the perfect height under my 36” standing craft table. Wish it came with labels for the front, and that the drawers had stops, but overall, feels like a good value for the price. We’ll see how well it holds up. Can’t wait to organize my craft supplies!
