dish drainerBoeasy to use and clean
Like everyone else rusts in less than a yearKellyNot durable at all, rusts easily. Hard to clean. I tried to do a vinegar soak and scrub with steel to restore it but it didn't work.
Rusts horribly - not suited for long term use JustinThis is the best dish rack I’ve found in terms of efficient use of space. However, it rusts extremely fast. Within a few months of purchase all four bottom legs started to rust. At a year, it looked disgusting and unseemly. I purchased another and the same thing happened.
Best dish strainer for homeLarindaI’ve had a lot of strainers, this one is superior to the bamboo ones! Sturdy and well built
Not so great, not terribleKetaUpon unpacking I found that there was a small flange outside of it's hole. Despite my best effort I couldn't get it in. I was sad when I realized that I could only return it by taking it to a store. As the nearest one to me is >60 miles away I figured it would have to go into the recycling bin. I thought to bring it with me when I went to get new tires. With some effort the mechanic was able to fix it. When I tried to install the two bars it too required more strength that I have. The dryer works fine without them so all's well.
galvanized dish drainerMelidaThis is a very generously sized item (check specifics in the item description before purchasing). It was too large for my kitchen but I was able to use it in another way. Very well made, durable, easy to put together (just click the lower rack into place).
Not easy to storeRebaDoesn't fold well and the assembly required some strength and wasn't easy. The little cross bars. I would have liked to be able to set it up and take it down, but those are impossible to even get on
ok dish drain Jessicait's adequate but not ideal. Hoping it can withstand weight of a few heavier items.
Rust with TimeNicoleLove the design and the 2 extra wire pieces that go on the corners to prevent from cups, plates from falling. This was my 3rd one from Ikea and still rust like the first one and the second one.
Found the same model in an US popular website. I'm tired of giving chances to Ikea for this product. I will no longer buy it.
Only if Ikea would fix it... I would return to buy it. I was even willing to buy products to coat this dish rack to prevent from rusting but this is Ikea's job.
Kvot dish drainerTammyThis is the best drainer! It folds flat for storage and works wonderfully without taking up a lot of space.
rust free not so muchCarlAfter just two years use, this rack is full of rust. Should not be allowed to sell such low quality stuff. Consider the planet IKEA, do better!
Some good, some not great. AnonymousThe good: This can hold A LOT of plates. Like 25. The lower rack can hold 5 heavy mugs with no danger of tipping. It fits well on the Valvardad drainboard.
The fair: because of the staggered, close spaced wires, the number of bowls you can fit is average at best and they don't seat very securely. Silverware wont drain well in a pile and takes up space. There is no space on the drainboard or rack for a stand-alone cup. Some small thin things like lids are going to fall through. The flat-pack option is nice, but inconvenient due to the stiff wires.
The poor: Big stuff. The only place to put them is underneath. Two medium sauce pans will fit under there. You probably won't be able to balance anything on top of the plates, or slip them along the side as you could in a basket style rack. Large pots, pans, cutting boards, and cookie sheets have nowhere to go unless the top rack is virtually empty.
I have not had it long enough to evaluate the rusting issue, but I suspect it will.
Well Built and SturdyRachelWe purchased the kvot for our son who purchased his first home. It has been the perfect dish drying rack. It is solidly made and holds all of his items while they are drying. Another wonderful Ikea product.
Sturdy and convenient NaomiNice and stable, easy to collapse when not in use (I've put the dishes away) so that it doesn't take up too much space or become a visual block.
kvotSandraNot as much storage or of quality metal as one
purchased at IKEA several years ago. Separate
support rods too tight to attach and then remove for storage of item so not using.
dish drainJamielooked like it should be a collapsible dish drain, but it does not collapse. Awkward to use.
1st visit to this locationAngelaI have some similar packed away and wanted to stop laying my wet dishes on the counter mat, looks great, works great, my husband wants one for his work apartment!
Great for an Ikea kitchenNinaThis is a great little drying rack. It does not hold a full sink of dishes, but it definitely gets the job done. It fits across two ikea drying pads.
Perfect dish rack for small spacesAnonymous reviewerWas looking for a small but sturdy dish rack for my compact appartment when I saw this from IKEA. While one of the end connections don’t seem to be able to snap in, the structure is sturdy enough for me and fits the space perfectly. Cutlery do sometimes fall through the cracks though. Time will tell if it stays stainless…
KVOT drying rack is a the kitchen tool I’ve needed for my hand wash items.ToddWhat a great tool to dry dishes that are to delicate to go in a dishwasher.

Material
What is steel?
Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
