This over-the-sink colander is perfect to use as a strainer for washing fruit and vegetables, as a dish drainer or simply to hold sink bowl accessories.
The colander’s flat bottom can be used as a dish drainer for e.g. glasses to free up space on the countertop.
The colander stays in place on the sink bowl – perfect for straining hot liquids from pots.
The colander hangs over the sink bowl’s edges, so you have both hands free for cooking.

Clever space saving dish rack/strainerStacieI saw this handy dandy item and thought, genius.
Was concerned it might not fit my sink at the recently new to me house.
Got home and tried it out...fits perfectly and doesn't fall off or slide around like the one I found a few weeks prior.
I think a STAINLESS STEEL one would be a nice option, maybe not?
I am using mine as a dish drain/rack.
Note: My kitchen sink is the long rectangle no divider sink.

Great productCorinneI keep this in my sink all the time. I keep my dish sponge in it to dry along with my dish gloves and dish brush. It sits low enough that u dont see it unless you right in front of sink.
Multi-use colander PamI bought these colanders for my kitchen and utility sink. They work well there! But it turns out they are also handy for holding items under our kitchen chairs, such as reading glasses, pens and markers, even our iPads!

ConvenientToniI bought one a long time ago at IKEA and I don’t know whatever ever happened to it after a move. I left it on my sink all the time to use as a dish strainer. I like this new one a little better because it is deeper, but I like the way the old one balanced on the sink better. I don’t like these big thick handles on the new design. Come in handy though for straining dishes after washing and washing fruits and vegetables.

Other UseCynthiaWhile we have plenty of colanders already (I prefer the ones that collapse), this colander is used to hold silverware and other small items that might need to be washed before there is room in the dishwasher or items that need to be hand washed. It keeps silverware from scratching the non stick pots and sharp knives are no longer hidden under dishes. I also love the fact that I can toss in the dishwasher.

Best thing I didn't know I neededAbenaWe have used this colander more than our three other stainless steel ones. It sits perfectly in the sink, catches all dirty silverware making cleaning very easy and accessible. No more digging at the bottom of the sink to gather the utensils to clean, worrying you'll cut yourself on a knife hidden in the water. Once the dishes are cleaned and the colander cleaned and emptied, we use it for washing fruit and vegetables. It makes a great way to reduce water spilling out onto the floor and counter top and keeps the fruit and vegetables from rolling around.
