Worst IKEA item ive ever had.IrisI recently furnished my whole apartment from IKEA. I must have assembled around 15 items all on my own, from bed frame to closet. For last, I saved this table. When I say, this is one of the worst packaging/layout I've ever seen from IKEA, I mean it. While the wood is of good quality, the screws are way more difficult to place than others, the order of the steps is weird and the placement of everything is awkward. It comes in two boxes and some of the pieces are already assembled, which, I have not seen before. I easily think it could have fit in one box if planned correctly. After assembly, the table does not feel sturdy at all, due to the lack of thought behind the screw placement. Frankly, for 200 euros, I would have expected waaaaay more, as some of the cheaper items here (ex. the 60 euro wooden bedframe) have clear love and thought behind them. Iris1

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
