How does the assembly service by Klusup work?

With Klusup assembly service, trusted mechanics can install your IKEA furniture in your home. You can book assembly in‑store or online during checkout, or directly through the Klusup website.

Assembling IKEA products can be fun and rewarding, but sometimes time and energy are limited. That’s why you can book a convenient and affordable assembly service through a trusted external platform, Klusup.
This is how assembly by Klusup service work:
  1. Book the Assembly Service by Klusup in-store or online during your checkout process.
    When booking online:
    a) Add your products to your shopping bag on IKEA.nl.
    b) Enter your postal code at checkout to check service availability.
    c) Review Klusup's Terms & Conditions
    d) Select your dates: one for product delivery and one for assembly. For delivery and assembly, assembly via Klusup is always done three workingdays after delivery. You will be charged an assembly rate based on the products you want assembled. An estimation of the final cost will be calculated during checkout.
    e) Choose your payment method and complete your purchase. Please note: You will receive an invoice for the assembly from Klusup after assembly.

You can also request assembly services directly from Klusup at any time. In this case, the booking is made directly through the Klusup website and not through IKEA. Please note that IKEA kitchen installation is a separate service.
  2. Check your email for a message from Klusup. You’ll receive a booking confirmation from Klusup. Read the email carefully. If payment for (a part of) the IKEA articles was not completed during checkout, the system will not forward your request to Klusup, and you will not get a booking confirmation.
  3. Change or reschedule if needed. If you need to reschedule or cancel your Klusup assembly appointment reach out directly to Klusup using the contact details found in the confirmation email.
  4. Leave your to-be-assembled products in the original packaging. Place the packages in the room where you want them to be assembled, and make sure that the room is a safe area for the mechanic to perform the assembly. Find more information about how to prepare for the service on assembly service via Klusup.
  5. The mechanic arrives at your home or office to complete the assembly at the agreed-upon date and time. Mechanics will also secure items to the wall at no additional cost, but please note that the service excludes electrical and plumbing.
  6. You'll receive an invoice for the assembly from Klusup after the assembly.
