ÄNGLATÅRAR is a textile collection created as an ode to India. IKEA brought together two talented young designers from India and Sweden to bring this diverse range to life. Traditional signs, letters and alphabets sparked a dialogue between the designers enabling deeper understanding of one another. Their bond gave them the confidence to challenge each other and build on each others ideas. With its diverse materials and textures, bold patterns, striking colours, and optimistic spirit, ÄNGLATÅRAR is a collection that will look beautiful in any home.
To celebrate our long partnership with India, IKEA has developed a collection of textile prints that are 100% produced in India. We sent two designers Eva Lundgren and Synnove Mork to India to create this textile collection. Eva and Synnove explored the neighborhoods of India for inspiration. The resulting URSPRUNGLIG collection is our tribute to India; a celebration of the history we've shared , and what we've learned from each other.
