Extremely comfortableMikeP2401Very comfortable both as a sofa and bed. Unusually large sleeping area for a sofa bed; furthermore, firm base allows for a good night's sleep. Very easy to switch between sofa and bed positions.5
great sofa beddsvewe bought this sofa bed for our caravan awning for extra bed space. its a great sofa and a great bed5
Poor QualityScala1958Whilst living in Switzerland I had purchased this sofa bed from the Ikea Shop Rothenburg. I was more than happy with design, comfort and quality. On moving back to the UK i purschased the same sofa. However, this one compared to the one purchased in Switzerland is of an appalling quality. Barely six months old and its already sagging badly in the middle. The foam seating has a huge indent. It looks like a sofa that has been in heavy use, when in actual fact its only been in real use for four months. I will contact Ikea and hopefully it will be either exchanged or a refund. I am not a happy customer.1
Perfect sofaBridgy2020The sofa is comfy and nice. Plenty of space for my daughter to sleep on, without even transforming it into a bed. Might be a 3 seater but could easily sit 4-5 people.5
Sofa bedYam MisWithin 3 weeks the seat has flattened used only 7-8 times and started feeling frame so it’s not worth £499.2
Not comfortable to sitASafiWe just bought this sofa and when you sit on it, it doesn’t feel like a sofa at all. It is very hard and it feels like you are sitting on wooden garden chair instead of a soft sofa.1
So uncomfortable!Gumball1234Bought this sofa about 6 months ago, and it wasn’t the most uncomfortable sofa to begin with but good enough and great for small space. HOWEVER, it has become unbearable to sit on in a short amount of time. Any cushioning has gone and you can feel each slat. This has not been heavily used and we’ve only used it as a pull out bed a handful of times. The fabric has also become very pilled. This is really unacceptable for this price and we’re very disappointed as this was a treat to ourselves to upgrade our old sofa.1
Poor QualitySmith25Had sofa for six months and is no longer a functioning sofa. Within couple of months of purchasing sofa began to sag and can feel every piece of wood and metal in the frame. Springs have come away from the frame and material has bobbled and stretched. Have contacted customer service on several occasion and have had no response. Poor quality furniture and customer service. Now stuck with a sofa which six months old and longer useable.1
Uncomfortable as a sofaGill from ReadingBought this for our spare room and have had to use it as our main sofa during lockdown. Really uncomfortable! As a sofa bed it has great storage and is very easy to convert to a bed. Have bought a mattress topper for when the grandchildren can finally stay over so hoping it will be comfortable for them.3
DisappointedIsmael202The bed part of the sofa dropped and you can feel the wood structure while you sleeping after around a month of purchase1
So much regret - most uncomfortable thing everAsta4576398Having tried this sofa in an IKEA store where it was displayed in the bed position. I was initially impressed with the firmness of the base, seemed like it was even across and would be a comfy sleeper. The perfect sofa for my small flat for when parents or friends would come visit. Oh I was so wrong within 1 month!!! the base had lost all firmness, you could feel the 2 metal bars digging in to your backside when sitting on either side so only option was to sit in the middle between the bars. Now I am a 69kg 5'4 female who lives alone and so not exactly abusing the furniture. When my mother came to stay with me she had to choose between lying on the excruciatingly hard side (back of sofa) or the excruciatingly soft side and I ended up having to give her my bed as she could not sleep on it despite adding a mattress topper. I am now stuck with this monstrosity and the only way I have been able to use it is folding over the double bed mattress topper and leaving it permanently on the seating area with a blanket over to cover the whole mess!! unless you will sit on this max once a year avoid! IKEA I am massively disappointed with the quality of this for the money I paid, I certainly will never be purchasing a sofa or other cushioned seating from IKEA again. Now I can only hope that I can sell it for a fraction of the cost and get it out of my life.1
Looks doesnt match the comfortThetrue22It is large and looks amazing. The colour is natural and can blend in. The sofa bed switch is easy to do. However the actual sofa is a bit hard, it take a while to get used to it.4
Long and Faithful ServiceRich TI have had this sofa close to 3 years, and it is used as a primary bed rather than occasional. Initially it is very firm, which suits my tastes, but the whole thing softens a little over time, especially the cushion also used for sitting as well as sleeping. Other than re-tighening a couple of screws and adding a dash of loctite a year in (which I wish I had thought to do during assembly), this has needed no work and caused no problems. The fabric has not discoloured, and the sofa and bed remain comfortable. Occasionally the back cushions need a thump to be put back into shape, but I have never owned a sofa where that was not the case. A highly recommended purchase.5
Poor qualityPeterT75We bought this sofa in October. The assembly was relatively easy and everything seemed to be fine. The problems started almost immediately: the cushions are very thin - they expand after while but it is still far, far from what should they be. Than can be sorted easily as you can fill the cushions with one more pillow or add something else. The REAL problem is the seat. I don't know who designed this and who approved this but the seat is an engineering FAILURE. The seat sags - the effect started to be visible after 1 month but I decided to give the sofa a chance. Didn't work, every week it is worse and worse. Now when sitting you can feel the wooden construction. Not a great value for money. I bought a lot of furniture from IKEA but this thing is a total disgrace. This sofa should be redesigned or removed from sales.1
Excellent sofa bedSt EloyGreat product. Comfortable, smart, practical, converts easily to a bed, well recommended.5
Fine. For a yearAR113Worked fine as a sofa for the first year, after which I noticed it became less and less comfortable. The side which I regularly sit has now started to sag to the point that that half is impossible to comfortably sit on, which has also rendered it useless as a sofa-bed, unless you want to be lying in a crater. As I seem to be not the only one with this issue, it seems to be a design flaw across the board, and so I cannot reccomend this sofabed to anyone who may be interested. If it could be repaired then I might be more positive, but from looking at it underneath, it appears to be the main support beam of the sofa padding (curved supports seen on page 15 of assemby instructions) that has bent. Ikea do not offer this as a spare part. £399 (at time of purchase) for something that lasted less than a year and a half is horrendous value, and as someone who has other items from Ikea that have lasted me over a decade, I find this item to be of awful quality.1
Great Value for moneySandy KleisterVery happy with this sofa bed, great value, full size bed5
So far so goodMum4boysWe bought it at the beginning of December. We have used it twice as a bed. Assembling was straight forward. Easy to open, gusts slept on it and were happy. good space for storage. So far so good.4
the sofa collapsedKasia567after 8 months of purchase, it collapsed. I use it only for sitting. fell inside, it is uncomfortable. Not recommended for that money.2
Not comfortableNicki70I am writing about this sofa which I purchased a few months ago. Its not as comfortable as it seems. You can feel all the wood when siting on it or sleeping on it. The cushions are so soft that you sink and feel the wooden parts on the bottom. Very uncomfortable.1
