Collaboration of our shops with social services, town halls and NGOs
IKEA Cataluña
In collaboration with the social services of the local councils of Sabadell, Hospitalet and Badalona, Christmas food parcels were delivered to vulnerable families (4/5 members per family). More than 300 families were reached.
IKEA Murcia
Christmas menus cooked by Cáritas Catering School with our products and recipes and aimed at vulnerable families in the area.
IKEA Zaragoza
Delivery of furniture to meet the high demand for spaces for vulnerable children with FAIM, OZANAM, Aldeas Infantiles and YMCA, as well as Christmas decorations for these spaces.

During the first wave of COVID-19, the teams at all our stores focussed at all times on meeting the needs that were arising in their regions. Here are some examples:
IKEA Valencia
Collaboration between IKEA Valencia and Valencia city council to house the homeless in La Petxina sports centre.
IKEA Madrid
Delivery of products and equipment for medical use to hospitals, IFEMA, care homes and NGOs in Madrid.
IKEA A Coruña
Red Cross staff collecting food storage bags to use in prevention kits for vulnerable people.
