Six steps for immaculate organisation

It’s best to start with a thorough cleaning. It makes organising everything more rewarding and you’ll be more pleased with the end result.

• Empty the fridge and wipe all surfaces clean

• Plan the placement of everything

• Group similar contents in handy storage boxes

• Clear containers make it easy to see what’s inside

• Zip-lock bags keep your food fresh for longer

• Some food shouldn't be kept in the fridge, like tomatoes, bananas, potatoes, onions, bread, olive oil and coffee.

It all fits!

Sort foodstuffs that need similar temperatures into bigger boxes for improved organisation:

Lower part: ideal for raw meat and dairy products, as it's the coldest part of the fridge.

Upper part: perfect for spreads and ready-to-eat food. Boxes also make cleaning easier if there are any spillages.

There's not a bad word to say about them!

Reduce surprises, reduce waste

With clear containers, seeing what's inside is a piece of cake. They're mostly stackable, and some have an extra trick up their sleeve: turn them upside down to use the lid as a tray and the container as a lid.

Freshness guaranteed

Airtight bags keep your food fresh for longer. They're ideal for leftovers and pre-portioned meals, and you can re-use them after giving them a quick clean (hand wash only).
