According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 55,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.

Klippan sofá coversSeanWe purchased 2 covers for the IKEA Klippan sofas. The general quality is good and the fit is almost perfect as you’d expect for an original cover. The cover needs some work to push down fully into place, and position perfectly and you’ll need to iron it lightly first or use a steamer to remove all the wrinkles from being packaged. The bottom of the cover isn’t elastic as you’d expect and instead has Velcro all the way around to stick to reverse Velcro underneath the base of the sofa. Our sofas didn’t have any reverse Velcro strips so we had to purchase them separately and install under the sofa to finish fixing the covers neatly in place. Another solution is to use a staple gun, but then it’s difficult to remove the covers in the future to wash them. It would be nice for IKEA to include the reverse Velcro strips to make installation easier & more complete!
